Good Morning! Your devotional meditation is taken from Philippians 2:8b, which says,
“…He humbled Himself…”
It should never cease to amaze us the great length He went to make sure that we could have a relationship and have sweet communion with Him and God the Father. Our Lord humbled Himself to the point that although He possessed Deity, He lowered Himself to the place of humiliation.
We must remember He is the King of Glory. Angels move at His command. He could have called legions of angels to come to His rescue, but He took the abuse from wicked men so that He could die and rise that we could have eternal life. He was spit upon. He was hit in the face. He was falsely accused. He was mocked and ridiculed. His beard was plucked from His face. He was scourged with a whip. A crown of thorns was pushed into His scalp. Nails were driven through His hands and feet onto a cross. He hung on a cross to suffer shame for us. And most importantly He died on the cross. He did it for you and me.
Bless His holy name!
