Good Morning! Your devotional meditation is taken from Philippians 2:7b, which says,

“…Taking the form of a bond-servant.” (ESV).

I am so grateful that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ emptied Himself of His lordship, that is His ownership of all things in order to take on the very essence of being a bond-servant in order to secure salvation for lost humanity. He literally became a slave in the complete sense of the Word. A slave owned nothing. Jesus’ ultimate purpose was to do the Father’s will and to serve the needs of His people on account of His Father’s divine plan to redeem the lost. To show how much He loved us, He fully renounced His rights as the Son of God to become a slave for you and I. Jesus did not come to this earth to be served, He “came to give His life a ransom for many.” (Matt. 20.28b).

We are always grateful when others do kind things for us, but there is no one I know, who ever surrendered so much for us so that we could be snatched from the eternal wrath of Almighty God. We are not even worth it. He deserves our total surrender, praise and worship.

Have a blessed day.
