Your devotional meditation is taken from Psalm 11:3-4, which says,

“If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? (4) The LORD is in His holy temple; the LORD’s throne is in heaven; His eyes see, His eyelids test the children of man.” (ESV).

King David had received some bad advice to retreat and get away from trouble that had arisen. He countered that advice by expressing His complete trust in the LORD’s sovereign control over His man.

We all will come into a crisis moment in our lives. In those times it is necessary to not become panic stricken. We must understand that the LORD will always hold true to His Word to hold up and protect His own. God will never fail Himself. He will faithfully come to our defense and our aid to give us the courage and wisdom we need to handle life’s critical moments. In those times it is crucial for us to “Be still and know that He is God.” (Psa. 46:10a). God’s knowledge and His ability to control the problem can give us the peace we need to hold up strong.

God’s grace, mercy and peace to you.
