Today’s devotional meditation is taken from 1 Peter 3:8, which says,

“Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind.” (ESV).

In a hostile society towards believers, it is of the utmost importance for each of us to be unified in heart toward one another. We have so many from the outside opposing us. It is necessary that we foster harmonious relations between one another. We must come alongside each other in order to support, encourage and hold up one another.

The Psalm writer David expressed, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1). No outside force should ever disrupt the harmony between Christians. Therefore, we must lose sight of personal pettiness and differences, and see the greater needs of our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Although we are all different when it comes to personalities and preferences; always remember, we are united as one in Christ.

May the Lord’s grace and mercy overshadow you always.
