Today’s devotional meditation is taken from Philippians 2:5&9, which says,

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus… (9)Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name…”

Many want to be recognized by others for one’s accomplishments. However, we must keep in mind that when others recognize us for various things, their recognition only lasts for a few moments. Christ gives us the prime example of humbling Himself in coming from glory to carryout the Father’s will .

Paul points out God the Father recognizes our humble service we give to Him. He will exalt us by recognizing our unselfish desire to serve Him by eternally elevating us to His Kingdom. Therefore, whatever we do, it is to be done with the express purpose of doing it in order to glorify God. You remember the saying, “Only what you do for Christ will last.” Let us make sure that all of our motives in life are motivated by Honoring Him in everything we do. Then we will hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Those words will have more meaning than anything anyone has ever praised us for.

Let us give Him our best.
