Today’s devotional meditation is taken from 1 Peter 2:2-3, which says,

“Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation, (3) If you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.”

The uncertainty of the times we live necessitate that we grow to a greater level of spiritual maturity. No believer can grow deeper spiritually apart from the Word of God. In order for us to be able to maintain our peace during chaos, we cannot be divorced from God’s soul strengthening Word. When we know the truth, as Jesus pointed out, “the truth shall make you free.”

In times of disorder, we must rely on our knowledge of who the Lord is so that we do not panic, and continue to recognize God’s sovereignty during those times. As we see the passing days, we are witnessing the fulfillment of Scripture. It behooves each of us to make sure that our anchor is in the Lord.

If you have not genuinely surrendered to the Him, I urge you to do so right now. Each of us must dedicate ourselves to knowing God through His Word.

Blessings in Christ!
