Today’s devotional meditation is taken from Psalm 23:6a, which says,
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life…”
Arriving at the end of Psalm 23, David was so intimately in touch with the LORD that he had an overwhelming assurance that no matter what circumstance or condition he faced, God’s loyal love and gracious benefits would be a part of his life until death.
When we come to the place where we have experienced God’s dealings in our lives, and we have witnessed His ability to take care of us during times of little. How He has protected us in our inability to protect ourselves. When we see how He gave us peace in the midst of chaos, we too can come to the place where we have no doubt that goodness and mercy have been, and will be with us forever.
I challenge each of us to reflect back on our lives and see how the LORD has taken care of and provided for in spite of the circumstance. If we are totally surrendered to Him, we will see His great favor in our lives.
Have a blessed and wonderful day.
