Good Morning! Today’s devotional meditation is taken from Psalm 28:1&7 which says,
“To you, O LORD, I call; my rock, be not deaf to me, lest, if You be silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit. (7) The LORD is my strength and my shield; in Him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to Him.”
At various times in a believer’s life we will experience trial after trial. It can become so overwhelming that we can grow weary to the point of going under. It may seem like the LORD is deaf to our cry for relief. I must encourage you to understand that the LORD has a purpose for our difficulties. If we never experienced hardship, we would never grow spiritually strong, and see the LORD’s power to strengthen.
The Psalmist moved from his plea of despair, to strong confidence and rejoicing in the LORD. I must remind us that the LORD has a record of faithfulness to us. We must remember all of His past beneficial dealings in our lives. We must not allow ourselves to become so overwhelmed that we lose sight of the LORD’s ability to help us in our trial.
God is our strength!
