Today’s devotional meditation is taken from 2 Corinthians 12:9b which says,
“…Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.“
It is strange to many people for one to take pleasure in their weaknesses and their sicknesses. Because many feel that in times of suffering, we have to be in a gloomy state of mind. However, as apostle Paul has learned, God has the ability to get the most out of us when we are in a place where only His power can energize and enable us to carryout that which will ultimately glorify Him.
We tend to take a dim view on weakness. God’s grace overwhelmingly overshadows us and causes us to rise above any situation or circumstance. When we are able to press on when we are ailing, it helps to motivate others when they see Christ working in and through us.
It should be our goal every day to first of all, glorify God; then to edify and encourage others for the cause of Christ. God can do more through us in our weaknesses, than we can do in our own strength.
Blessings in Christ.
