Today’s devotional meditation is taken from Hebrews 6:10, which says,
“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labor of love, which ye have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.“
There may be times when the believer may become dejected and overwhelmed in all that he or she does for the cause of Christ. One may feel like they are spinning their wheels, and their efforts may seem to be futile. The moment we begin to feel this way, we must regroup and remember that the Lord is the One we are really serving.
It is imperative for us to realize that it is a blessing to be used by God. Therefore, we are to serve Him with the best of our ability. He does not forget our efforts when we diligently serve, Him by serving others.
God will never forget our faithfulness to His cause. Whenever we have long periods of dejection, it is normally because we have forgotten that everything we do is for His glory. We must then readjust our attitude and realize that God will reward us for our faithfulness in serving Him.
