Good Morning! Today’s devotional meditation is taken from, Psalm 1:1-2, which says,
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; (2) But His delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.”
The psalmist begins by stating that those who are blessed do not follow the path of ungodly advice that leads to wickedness. We must make sure that the advice we receive is godly, even though it may be difficult to receive. Ungodly advice can give us a path of least resistance; however, that path will put us in opposition to God. That is not the place we want to be in.
He also shows us how we can know what is right advice by challenging us to take pleasure in God’s Word by continuous studying and meditating of it. We must remember that we will suffer the consequences if we refuse to do that which God has determined to be right. It is then we will have peace, contentment, joy and spiritual well-being.
May the Lord be with you.
