Today’s devotional meditation is taken from Psalm 89:1, which says,
“I will sing of the mercies of the LORD forever: with my mouth will I make known Thy faithfulness to all generations.“
The psalmist expresses his praise to the LORD because of the LORD’s loyal love and His trustworthiness to His own. In other words, God can be depended on no matter what. Every child of God has been the recipient of His benefits. He has never failed us, ever. Since He lavishes upon us His steadfast love and His faithfulness, we must respond in two ways: first, we must respond by expressing our praise unto Him with joyful exuberance.
Second, we must respond to Him by being faithful to Him. It is useless to receive all of His goodness and then refuse to be faithful to the things of God. When we are more faithful to our things, and not to the things of God, we are ungrateful, and unfaithful. Do we put everything else in front of our Faithful LORD? If our interests take precedence over the LORD’s interests, it is time re-prioritize our lives.
May the LORD continue to make His face to shine upon you.
