Good Morning! Today’s devotional meditation is taken from Proverbs 29:1, which says,

He who is often reported, yet stiffens his neck, will suddenly be broken beyond healing.

God is gracious and merciful when He, through His Word warns and points out to us the error of our ways. He is also gracious and merciful when He allows others who genuinely care for us to point out to us when we are wrong. However, it is very foolish for us to be obstinate and keep rejecting the warnings God is giving to us. If we refuse to listen to anything that is right about us, when we are wrong; be forewarned, the Word of God promises that we will get what we deserve.

No consistently stubborn, hard-headed, obstinate individual has ever escaped getting dealt with. If you don’t believe me just ask a man named Nabal (1 Samuel 25). It is necessary to heed the warnings and the rebukes from God’s Word.

I have found that when others keep pointing out to me something that is wrong with me, I need to take a look at myself. It is foolish to keep shunning the warnings, especially if God’s Word says it is wrong.

God bless you!
