Good Morning! Today’s devotional meditation is taken from Psalm 127:1-2, which says,

Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. (2) It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for He gives to His beloved sleep.

It is foolish to undertake any venture that leaves the LORD out of it. God is the source of success in whatever we seek to do. We are not able to event take care of ourselves. Whenever we leave the LORD out of our life, we sabotage our endeavors. It is also foolish to work long hours to make money, and the LORD is an afterthought or not a thought at all. We can’t even enjoy what we make.

There is a line in a hymn that says, “O what peace we often forfeit; O what needless pains we bear; all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.” It is wise to make sure our focus is on the LORD, He is the One who is able to give us the ability to have contentment, joy and peace in all of our endeavors. All I am saying is, don’t leave Him out. I promise you, we will experience a greater fulfillment when we seek Him first.

Blessings to you.
