Good Morning! Today’s devotional meditation is taken from Philippians 2:6-7, which says,
“Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: (7) But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men…“
It is always something amazing when someone will sacrifice from themselves in order to do for us. But when I think about what our Lord and Savior did for us when He, who always had the nature of God, did not consider His equality with God something to be held onto so that He could empty Himself and take on the form of a true servant for the purpose of carrying out God’s plan of redeeming lost mankind. I cannot help but to get excited.
No matter how you look at it, that is the greatest act of sacrifice that has ever been done for anyone. Think about what He did for those who are miserable and not worth it; He surrendered the unthinkable glories of Heaven to die for us. I wish I had the adjectives that I could express the magnitude of this great act of love for the lost. Let us not become so familiar that we lose the impact of what was done for us.
God’s grace and peace to you.
