Good Morning! Today’s devotional meditation is taken from Psalm 40:1, which says,
“I waited patiently for they LORD; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry.“
At many points in the life of a believer, we will be in a hurry and God is not. At times like these, we must understand that God always moves when He has determined necessary. He knows when to bring us out of our dilemma. He knows how to bring about growth in our lives. It is during those times we must wait with expectation that He will hear and answer our prayer, but only in His time.
Our impatience has never moved the LORD to act faster. Our waiting with expectation shows we have grown in our trust and confidence in the LORD, and know that He will always do what is for our good and for His glory.
In the midst of David’s confident waiting, the LORD reached down and delivered him from his distress. God is faithful to His own. We must grow to the place where we accept His timing. In the process of waiting He always keeps us from going under. He is a merciful God. Be encouraged, He will take care of us.
God bless you.
