Good morning! Today’s devotional meditation comes from Jeremiah 17:7-8. Which says:
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. (8) He is like a tree planted by the water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.” (ESV).
When we commit ourselves to rely completely on the LORD, He then promises to extend unto us prosperity and joy. If you think about it, we really do not have anyone or anything else we can confidently depend on in life other than the LORD. He continues to be faithful in times of drought.
Trusting the LORD blesses us with a sustaining supply of blessings in the parched times of adversity in our lives. Our lives can endure troublesome times without anxiety, because we know of, and have experienced the LORD’s goodness in past difficulties of life. Trusting the LORD even when life hurts, will give us the ability to have peace that goes beyond all our understanding. We must remember it is something the LORD will always do what He said he would do.
Have a great day.
