1 Shout for joy to God, all the earth; 2 sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise! 3 Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you. 4 All the earth worships you and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” Selah…..
Good Morning! Your devotional meditation for today Psalm 66. This psalm calls on all nations to sing the highest praises unto God for all of His mighty works that He has done in the past and also that He continues to carryout. I know we can become overwhelmed with all of our problems that we face day by day, but it is absolutely necessary for us to refocus our attention not the multitude of great things God has done in our lives and the things that He continues to do.
It is necessary to meditate on the fact that even in the midst of our trials, God still lavishes tremendously great things upon us, wherefore He is absolutely worthy to be praised. Let me enumerate a few: life, a reasonable portion of health and strength; people who love you, a place to lay your head, food to eat, clean water to drink, relationships with the people of God, the ability to see a sunrise and a sunset, to be able to feel a cool breeze; the list can go on and on. However, the most important reason we are to praise God to the highest is because He is God and He has graciously and mercifully granted unto us Salvation through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
May the Lord bless you richly,
