1 Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! 2 For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb.

Your Meditational thought for today is Psalm 37. Many of us have been on the receiving end of someone that has harmed us or they have set out to do us harm, and it seems like they always escape trouble in their lives. They seem to never get what they dish out. It is not for us to become exasperated over what may look like they will always experience good in spite of their evil ways. Don’t worry, because no one escapes the all seeing and all knowing God.

The Psalmist David encourages his readers not to burn with anger at what looks like evil doers getting away with their deeds of wickedness. The promise is in verse 2, “For they will soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb.” Instead, we are to trust, delight, commit our ways to the LORD, and allow Him to handle the those who are in rebellion. I have learned and still learning not to allow anyone to push my buttons and get me to the place where I will retaliate and make the situation worse. I have learned when God handles it, then it is handled. It is imperative that we pray for evil doers, and that we pray for ourselves in order that we not cause God to discipline us because act the same way as the evil doer. Also, remember, God always takes care of His own. Keep trusting Him.

Have a wonderful day.
