1 Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. 2 Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit…..
God’s grace and mercy has brought us to this day. Your Scripture for today is Psalm 32. This psalm gives great comfort to every Believer, who has sinned against God. In this psalm, David recalls his adultery with Bathsheba and his premeditated murder of her husband Uriah the Hittite. David tried to cover up what he did. It is a lesson to us that God sees and knows everything we do, even when we think we are getting away with it. The Lord confronted David when the prophet Nathan told him of his wrongdoing. It was then that David realized his great sin against God.
David repented and turned from his sin. It was then that he experienced the forgiveness of God. That’s when he proclaimed,
“Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” (2) “Blessed is the man against whom the LORD counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.”
He experienced great relief when the Lord removed his guilt. In this psalm, David was effected physically because he did not originally confess his sin. David speaks of God’s mercy and grace to those who trust in the Lord. We have to rejoice in the Lord’s kindness, His grace, His mercy and His Forgiveness. For if He does not forgive we would not have any hope. Have a wonderful day.
Blessings to you.
