Once again the Sunday Notes start on Saturday with the PBDA – Congress on Christian Education Rally. I am so proud of New Paradise because you showed up in good number; we had 96 strong at the Rally. I was so happy to see when everyone came walking in during the processional.
We earned trophies in all 5 categories:
Enthusiasm: 3rd Place
Banner: 2nd Place
Offering: 2nd Place
Cheer: 1st Place
Attendance: 1st Place
The competitive nature in me, says we should have gotten 1st place for the Banner…that’s all I’m going to say about that. All in all, it was a wonderful afternoon.
Special shout out to Anita Drummond and Anglia Hearld for being judges for the Rally.
Sunday we participated in our annual Worship Without Walls with Exodus Missionary Baptist Church. What a wonderful day! The turnout was great. Sunday School was great. Thank you to Rhonda Bateman, Donnie Little, Gloria Moore & Chairman Robert Smith for teaching in their respective class divisions.
I preached from Matthew 16:13-17 “Who Is This Jesus?”
Special Shout out to Chairman Robert Smith, A. T. Monroe, Donnie Little for arriving at the beach at 5:15 a.m. to set up for the service. I am so grateful for our Beautiful Mothers who came out to the WWW: Mother Bowman, Mother Brown, Mother Jimmerson, Mother Lovett & Mother Washington. Special thank you to everyone who brought all that was asked of them in order to make the Worship Without Walls event a great success. Also special thanks to Denise for making sure that our offerings were collected. Special thanks to Exodus for the Fellowship and Unity that our two churches have.
NPBC has a very special place in my heart. Thank you for being a wonderful church. I LOVE YOU!
Your Servant in Christ,
