This week’s Sunday Notes actually starts our on Friday; we hosted the NMBCA SWA 1 Western Regional Conference. I appreciate the privilege of being a part of the Conference. I had the opportunity to meet some very wonderful people. I was truly impressed. The Ladies worshipped with us on Sunday. I am thankful for the privilege of meeting Dr. Pearl Ducre’, President of the NMBCA SWA 1 Auxiliary and Dr. Evelyn Jackson, President Emeritus of the NMBCA SWA 1 Auxiliary. I want to thank Sis. Millie Wilkes for bringing the Western Regional Conference to NPBC.
We started the day at 8:00 a.m. with the Lord’s Supper for the Women of the Western Regional Conference before many of them headed back to their various homes in Arizona, Washington and Northern California. The Day started out Wonderful by observing the Lord’s Supper early; that was the first time that I ever did that at NPBC.
Church School was again very uplifting. The lesson came from 1 Peter 1:3-12 “A LIVING HOPE” As I have stated many times how much I love Church School, it is the strength of the church. It is my prayer that everyone recognizes the need for Church School in their Lives. As always, our Superintendent is doing a tremendous job. Thank you Sis. Bush and Sis. Denise for keeping the administrative part going. Akida, thank you for always being there to count the Church School Offering. And Thank you to all of the Church School Teachers and Students. I am grateful for your active participation.
I must admit, I am so grateful for the Associate Ministers, what a tremendous group of men of God. Deacons you are the deacon servants I know; Deacon’s Wives thank you for your continued dedication and stepping up when Sister Anita was away. You also are the best! Nurses, Ushers, Welcome & Greeters, Transportation, WMU, L.I.F.T. Sound Ministry, Trustees. Thank you for being so wonderful. Now, Voices, you showed out yesterday! The Visitors were blessed, and not only the Visitors, all of us regulars were blessed with you ministering through song. Shout out to Ivy Z. I was blessed by God to preach from Numbers 16:1-11 regarding “Knowing Your Place.”
I am grateful for New Paradise Baptist Church. You are a great blessing to me. Thank you for being so good to me and my family. I Love you New Paradise.
Your Servant in Christ,
