Sunday Notes: 4/21/13

To God be the Glory! Sunday started out wonderful; Church School has been and continues to be a great source of enrichment for everyone who attends. I am grateful for the hard work of the Superintendent and Teaching staff. We were blessed to have Christina Smith fill in for Rev. Anthony Long who was out of town. I understand that God really used her in the Young Adult Class #5.

The Church School lesson was from 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11 “Living with Hope. It was a lesson that caused everyone to think about the Rapture of the Church and to live with a focus on the future that should cause us to live knowing that The Lord can, at any moment take the church out of the world.

Morning Worship started out with the Young Adult Praise Team; all I can say is WOW! They truly ushered in the Lord’s presence. The YAYC followed with tremendously blessing us through worship in Song. Praises in Motion had many of the membership in tears by miming to “I Won’t Complain.”

The Lord blessed me to finish up the series on “Knowing Your Enemy” from Ephesians 6:10-18. The focus was on Eph. 6:18-20 – “The Priority of Prayer in the Spiritual Battle. I thank God for the privilege of preaching. It is truly my prayer that we are alert to the devices that the enemy uses to attack us. I see that there are too many Christians turning everything into a flesh and blood battle with fellow Believers; instead of recognizing that the battle is a spiritual battle from the enemy.

Please be in prayer for me as I seek The Lord on where He wants me to preach from next.

Your servant in Christ,

Pastor Moore
