SUNDAY NOTES – 4/14/13

This week’s Sunday Notes begin with the Family Enrichment Night that took place on Friday Night: all I can say is, WHAT A BLESSING! I take my hat off to Greg and Anita Drummond for an outstanding job as Chairpersons for the event. Everyone who participated in the event was so on point. Thank you so much. I want to encourage all of New Paradise to please plan on making it to the next two Family Enrichment Nights.

What can I say about an tremendous day of Church School and Worship. The Church School continues to be a great source of enrichment for all that attend. I am proud of those in the Orientation Class: Tamika Williams and Ah’ Tenae Williams for their faithful dedication. Keep up the good work. All of the classes had very good attendance. The lesson came from Acts 2:1-13 “Promises Kept.” I want give a shout out to Rhonda Bateman, Dea. Donnie Little, Chairman Robert Smith, Gloria Moore, Rev. Tony Long, Rev. Marvin Davidson, Dea. A. T. Monroe, and Class 6 for an your continued faithful service in the Church School in making sure that the students are taught soundly.

Morning Worship was tremendous! The Men of NPBC led out in praise and worship. Today was the first Sunday that we went paperless regarding the bulletin. The Voices of NPBC were outstanding. We celebrated Mother Jimmerson’s Birthday. I preached from Ephesians 6:13-17, dealing with “The Weapons of Our Warfare.” It is imperative that we make sure that we are suited up for the battle and that we hold our ground.

The day was capped off with the First Deaf Worship Service at New Paradise. The ASL Ministry is a tremendous blessing. A great shout out to Kristyna, Tatiana, Keoni, Myra, TJ, Brittany, Renie and Isaiah! I love you! Thank you for all of your hard work. Shout out to the Gospel Signing Choir, Calvary’s Hands of Praise, Evalena Pree, NPBC Praise Dance Team, Rose of Sharon and Greater Mt. Moriah and all the other churches that participated. God be praised!

It has been a weekend filled with joy!

Your Servant in Christ,

Pastor Moore
